Dr Murdoch Macleod of Eyre

"Dr. Murdoch Macleod of Eyre, who married Anne, daughter of Alexander Macdonald of Boisdale, by his wife, Margaret, daughter of John Macdonald, II. of Castleton, with issue—(i) Captain Malcolm Macleod of Eyre, so well known in connection with the 'Forty-five and the wanderings of Prince Charles in the Western Isles. He died unmarried. (2) John Macleod, who married his cousin, Catherine, daughter of John Macleod, IX. of Raasay, without issue ; (3) Norman Macleod, who died unmarried ; (4) Anne, who died unmarried ; and (5) Margaret, who married Kenneth Macleod, with issue — Murdoch, Norman, Donald, Anne, who married Mr. Shaw, with issue ; and Christian, Lexy, Margaret, Flora, and Anne."

”MALCOLM MacLEOD OF RAASAY; accompanied by his 2nd son Dr Murdoch MacLeod, of Eyre and Capt Malcolm MacLeod, his nephew, joined in the 1745 Uprising at the head of a hundred of the MacLeods of Raasay.”
