"Dr. Murdoch Macleod of Eyre, who married Anne, daughter of Alexander Macdonald of Boisdale, by his wife, Margaret, daughter of John Macdonald, II. of Castleton, with issue—(i) Captain Malcolm Macleod of Eyre, so well known in connection with the 'Forty-five and the wanderings of Prince Charles in the Western Isles. He died unmarried. (2) John Macleod, who married his cousin, Catherine, daughter of John Macleod, IX. of Raasay, without issue ; (3) Norman Macleod, who died unmarried ; (4) Anne, who died unmarried ; and (5) Margaret, who married Kenneth Macleod, with issue — Murdoch, Norman, Donald, Anne, who married Mr. Shaw, with issue ; and Christian, Lexy, Margaret, Flora, and Anne."
