Dr. Norman Merle MacNeil

Edward A. MacNeil was a member of the firm of McDougall and MacNeil, of Grand Narrows, and he was manager of the popular hotel at that place from the time it opened in 1888 until his death in 1924. He was also Postmaster and collector of customs. In 1886 he married Bessie, daughter of Malcolm McDougall, merchant, Christmas Island. Issue: — Norman Merle, Mary, Margaret, Wilhimina, Malcolm, Edward, George, Josephine, Elsie, Gertrude, and Louise.

o Norman M. is a medical doctor in Philadelphia. He served overseas at the time of the Great War.
