(2nd) https://ma-vitalrecords.org/MA/Essex/Rowley/aMarriagesF.shtml "(Fowler) Philip, Dr., and wid. Abigail Todd, Apr. 11, 1738.*" She is the widow of Abner Todd.
Philip, son of William Fowler and Hannah Dow, was born 12 October 1709 in Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. (Vital Records of Massachusetts, Amesbury Births)
On 12 October 1731, Philip (age 22) married Margaret Boynton (age 19), daughter of Jonathan Boynton and Margaret Harriman, in Amesbury. Philip and Margaret had 3 children as recorded in the Vital Records of Massachusetts, Rowley Births:
-Fowler, Jonathan, s. Dr. Philip and Margaret, Mar. 26, 1733. [1732-3] (PR2*)
-Fowler, James, s. Dr. Philip and Margaret, Jan. 17, 1734-5. (PR2*)
-Fowler, Jonathan, s. Dr. Philip and Margaret, Dec. 12, 1737. (PR2*)
Margaret died 20 December 1737, eight days after the birth of her third child, in Rowley. (Vital Records of Massachusetts, Rowley Deaths) On 11 April 1738, Dr. Philip married Abigail, the widow of Abner Todd. The maiden name of Abigail is not known. Abigail had two living children from her first marriage - Priscilla (age 14) and Abner (age about 3 months). Philip also had two living children from his first marriage - James (age about 3) and Jonathan (about 4 months). According to The Early Settlers of Rowley, Massachusetts, page 387, this was Dr. Philip's 3rd marriage. The first two children of Philip and Abigail were also recorded in the Vital Records of Massachusetts, Rowley Births:
-Fowler, Dinah, d. Dr. Philip and Abigail, Jul. 16, 1739. (PR2*)
-Fowler Philip, s. Phillip and Abigail, Aug. 6, 1741.
The Old Families of Salisbury and Amesbury by David Hoyt, page 165, has this Philip (born 1709) mixed up with Philip (born 1691), son of Philip Fowler and Elizabeth Herrick, who was a resident of Newmarket at the time of his death in 1767.
