About Dr Thomas Fister Heebner
He took up the study of medicine in 1880 at the Univ. of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Granted a degree in 1883 and began practice in Scranton at the Lackawanna Hospital. He then became a surgeon for the Lackawanna and Western Railroad until 1890. In March 1890, be removed to Port Carbon and became medical examiner for the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad at Port Carbon.
