Instructor in electrical engineering, University of Nebraska, 1907-16; NU professor of electrical engineering, 1917-52. Owner of the Hollister Engineering Co. since 1917. Owner of the Lincoln Blue Print and Map Co., 1932-48. Chief engineer of the Nebraska State Railway Commission, 1935-36.
Member: Masonic Liberty Lodge 300 AF&AM, OES, Electa Chapter, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Sigma Xi, Eta Kappa Nu, American Institute of Electrical Engineers, American Society of Electrical Engineers.
Survivors: wife, Hazel; son, William G. of Bethesda, Md.; daughters, Mrs. Robert J. R. (Virginia) Rohrbaugh of Lincoln, Mrs. John J. (Evelyn) Lawler of Omaha; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Saturday, Westminster Presbyterian Church. Dr. Fred Roblee and Rev. William Puls. Burial: Lincoln Memorial. Umberger's, 48th & Vine.
