About Dr. Virgil Anthony Amend, Jr.
Dr. Virgil A. Amend Jr, age 80, passed away Thursday, March 31st, 2016 in Willard Walker Hospice Center in Fayetteville. Dr. Amend was born September 14th, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas to Dr. Virgil Anthony Amend Sr. and Dr. Dorothy Snyder Amend who preceded him in death as well as a brother, Donald and a sister, Ann. He was a retired Chiropractor. He is survived by four children, Tammy Waddell and her husband, David, Andrew Amend and his wife, Tricia, Virgil Amend III and his wife Rhonda and Tyler Amend and his wife, Gayla; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita, KS on Thursday, April 7th at 12:30 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home in Rogers.
