                    and https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eticho

"Eticho probably came from Burgundy and was the son of the housekeeper Liuthericus. King Childerich II appointed him to the Duke in 673."

BTW the picture on this profile is actually of his SON Adalrich, Duke of Alsace

Justin you really need to a better job with your research.

Etichonen is a Alsatian duke of Duke Eticho , who was one of the first known dukes of Alsace in the middle of the seventh century and founded the inheritance of the Duke's dignity. The sex played an important role in the history of Alsace in the early Middle Ages.

The dukes of Alsace had their residence partly in new places, such as Oberehnheim and on the Hohenburg . Here Eticho founded the penitent, in which Saint Odilia , his daughter, lived with her sisters. Later dynasties , for example the Habsburgs , derived their origin from Duke Eticho (Attich, also called Adalrich).

The individual lines in the genealogy of the etichons are designated as

Etichonen, (in a narrow sense) with the title of a Duke in Alsace Liutfriden, with the title of a count in the Sundgau , resp Eberharde, with the title of a count in the Nordgau or Count of Egisheim , Dagsburg and Metz . The most famous family member is Bruno von Egisheim, who was a Leo IX in 1049 . Pope became. The Etichons died in the 13th century after both sons of Count Albert II died in 1202 at a tournament in Andain .

Master list The kinship relationships of the descendants of Duke Eticho lie only in fragments.
