Ebenezer Alvord was born 17 Dec 1720, the sixth child of Elizabeth (Bird) Alvord (1684-1770), the second wife of Ebenezer Alvord (1665-1738) of Northampton, Massachusetts [1].

Ebenezer Alvord served 9 months in the American Revolutionary War, based on the records of Northampton, Massachusetts.

He married 19 Dec 1754 Catharine (also spelled Katherine) Strong, with whom he had 8 children, all born at Northampton:

4. Jerusha (Alvord) Rogers (1761-1837), b. 27 Dec 1761; married John Rogers; 8 children, only one (Benjamin) who survived
5. Dorcas (Alvord) Wright, baptized 9 Jul 1764; married 12 Mar 1789 Reuben Wright [he married 2nd Eunice Smith of Hadley]
6. Catharine (Alvord) Beals, baptized 24 Apr 1768; married 12 Feb 1794 Peter Bates Beals of Plainfield, Massachusetts; 5 children
7. Rhoda Alvord, baptized 14 Jul 1771; married ___ Warren
8. (Infant) Alvord, baptized 1773; d. 12 Sep 1773

Per the Alvord genealogy (1908), Ebenezer Alvord was a weaver, originally residing in Northampton, later moved to Hatfield, Massachusetts.

Ebenezer Alvord died 7 Aug 1784 at Hatfield, Massachusetts.
