About Ebenezer Deming, Jr.
23 EBENEZER DEMING, (son of Ebenezer 6) born 5 May 1678 in Wethersfield, Conn.; died 16 Apr. 1765in Wethersfield; married 27 Dec. 1704 Rebecca Treat, daughter of Lieut. James and Rebecca (Latimer) Treat, born about 1686; died 26 Dec. 1753 in Wethersfield.
Ebenezer Deming was a hatter by trade, but was also a land-holder both in Wethersfield and in Saybrook. His property in the latter town, he deeded to his sou Oliver, and at his death he willed his homestead in Wethersfield to his son Moses, "because he has dwelt with me in the same house many years." To his son Joseph he gave land in Newington, and all of his children were specifically named in his will, which was dated 15 Mar. 1765, and proved 27 May 1765.

- 2. Joseph, born January 24, 1708, died about 1783; married, January 8, 1736, Elizabeth Francis.
- 3. Oliver, of whom further.
- 4. Ebenezer, born December 17, 1712, died October 28, 1788; married, May 7, 1741, Amy Bunce.
- 5. Timothy, born May 17, 1716, died June 25, 1789; married, December 5, 1740, Susannah Francis (or French).
- 6. Moses, born March 1, 1720, died July 14, 1811; married November 10, 1748, Martha Welles.
