About Ebenezer Wilson, Mayor of New York
Ebenezer Wilson served as the 29th Mayor of the City of New York from 1707 to 1710. He is the son of Samuel Wilson, a wealthy merchant who emigrated in 1674, Ebenezer Wilson also served in the colonial General Assembly of New York. Chapter 434 of the Colonial Laws of New York, adopted in 1722, provided for his compensation.
