In "Adventurers of Purse and Person, Virginia: 1607-1624/5," by John Frederick Dorman, Genealogical Publishing Com, 2012, Page 68, Dorman says that Edmond Basye married twice, First by 17 Dec 1712 to Lylia UNKNOWN (Dorman cites Northumberland Co. Order Bk. 1699-1713, Page 803); Second, to Karenhappuck UNKNOWN. So, he spells the name - Karenhappuck - and uses it as a first name, not a last name. Also, he gives no source for her. Wife Karen Happuch named in Edmond Basye’s 1745 will.

Basye, Edmond W.W. 5 December 1745---W.P. 14 April 1746 Wife Karenhappuch- use of my whole estate real and personal during her natural life, and at her death I leave my plantation to my daughter Leanna Basye and the heirs lawfully begotten of her body, and for want of such heirs to my grandson William Everit. Daughter Leanna-her choice of my beds and furniture, and my chest of drawers. Daughter Rebecka, the wife of William Lunceford-one shilling sterling. Daughter Elizabeth, the wife of Richard Oldham-one shilling sterling. Grandson William Everit-the next choice of bed and furniture. At my wife's decease, the rest of my estate to be equally divided between my two daughters Hannah and Leanna, and my grandson Wiliam Everit. My estate not to be appraised, nor my executors to give security for my estate. Wife Karenhappuch, and brother Elismond Basye, executors. Witness: Charles Sullivan, George Mills, and Thomas Sampson."
Per Temple Book, Edmund her son bought land in Brunswick Co. 31 Dec 1777. Also per the Temple book, he sold the home of his deceased mother on Nov 11th, 1784 and was listed as being of Brunswick County at that time
