About Eduardo Teus
Eduardo Teus López-Navarro, also known as Teus (November 6, 1896 – October 8, 1958), was a Philippine-born Spanish footballer, coach and journalist
In 1913, at 17, he played for Real Madrid as a goalkeeper. In 1917, at 21, he signed up for the Spanish army and later, he became a sports journalist. In 1941 to 1942, he was tasked by military strongman Francisco Franco to lead "La Furia Roja" or the Spanish national football team as the head coach.
In 1958, Teus died due to a head stroke while watching a game at the press box at a stadium in Bilbao, Spain.
