Left Victoria aboard the SS Protesilaus, which deployed from Canada on December 26/1918 and arrived in Vladivostok on January 15/1919. Acting Sergeant Edward Bruce Irving served in the 260th Battalion (Canadian Rifles), one of the two main infantry battalions that comprised the Canadian Expeditionary Force (Siberia).
