Genealogy of the descendants of Edward Colburn/Coburn : came from England, 1635; purchased land in "Dracutt on Merrimack," 1668 ..p. 21.
Until 1709, his home was at Salem, when, with three others, he purchased 100 acres in Connecticut, on Little River, which was at that time a remote section, but afterward included in the Town of Hampton.
From there, in 1713, he removed to Windham, Conn., where he was living in 1730, as on July 3d of that year he was admitted to the Church as a member.
A petition to the Probate Court in 1741, gives an approximate date of his death, and mentions Mercy, his wife, as still living. The later years of his life were spent at Concord, Mass., where he died.
