Edward Frost (1561-1616) married 26 JUL 1585 at Glemsford, Co. Suffolk, England to Thomasine Belgrave (1560-aft 1616).

Porter includes a transcription of Edward's birth record: "Edwardus Frost fil[ius] Joh[ann]is Frost bapt[isatus] fuit". Edward was son of John ("Young John"/"John the yonge") Frost and Ann Scott.

Actually, I belive that they had a son EDMUND FROST who was b 1593, HE was the father of James Frost Sr

The will names wife Thomasine; son William; daughters Elizabeth, wife of Henry Rice; Anne, wife of Laurence Collen; Alice, wife of Thomas Blower; Mary Frost; Thomasine Frost; and Edward Rice, son of (his) daughter Elizabeth Rice. Executrix, his wife Thomasine. Witnesses Ambrose Briggs, Sr and Ambrose Briggs, Jr.

Edward Frost was baptized 13 Mar 1560 at Glemsford, Suffolk County, England. On 26 Sep 1585, at Gelmsford, he married Thomasine Belgrave. Thomasine was the daughter of John and Joanna (Strutt) Belgrave. Thomasine was baptized 01 Feb 1561 at Leverington in Cambridgeshire, England.

Edward Frost's Will reads:

26 Jul 1616 the will of Edward Forst of Stansteade, County of Suffolk, England, Colthier ... bequests to Thomasine, my wife, to William , my son, to my five daughters: Elizabeth, now the wife of Henry Rice; Anne, now the wife of Lawrence Collen; Alice, wife of Thomas Blower, Mary frost and Thomasine Frost ... and to Edward Rice, son of my daughter Elizabeth Rice. A clothier would buy wool on the sheep, then have the shearing, spinning and weaving done by private contractors. He then arranged the sale of the finished product. Most clothiers also had a shop from which they sold cloth, clothing and supplies.

On September 26, 1585 Edward married Thomasine Belgrave at Glemsford. Thomasine was the daughter of John Belgrave and Joanna Strutt. She was born at Leverington in Cambridgeshire and baptised there on February 1, 1562. Edward & Thomasine resided in Glemsford for about three years and had their first two children baptised there. They moved to nearby Stanstead about 1588, and lived there the rest of their lives. Church records at Glemsford and Stanstead show the births of eight children to Edward and Thomasine. Edward made his will in July of 1616. He mentioned wife Thomasine, son William, daughters Elizabeth wife of Henry Rice, Anne wife of Lawrence Collen, Alice wife of Thomas Blower, Mary & Thomasine. Also Edward Rice, son of daughter Elizabeth. Edward was buried at Stanstead on August 3, 1616. His will was proved at the Prerogative Court in Canterbury on October 4, 1616. There is no record of Thomasine's death, but she must have outlived Edward because she is mentioned in his will. She probably died about 1620. Edward was buried in the churchyard of St. James Church in Stanstead.
