Edward Hunt was one of the early settlers of Maidenhead, New Jersey, along with his brothers "Capt. Ralph" and Samuel Hunt, and his cousins Theophilus Phillips and "Major" Phillip Phillips. (Maidenhead was originally part of Burlington, New Jersey; in 1714, it became part of the new county of Hunterdon. Maidenhead's name was changed to Lawrence in 1818 and it became part of Mercer Co. in 1838.)
