His will dated Jan. 15, 1715/16, proved Feb. 29, 1715/16, Queens Co., New York, names wife Elizabeth, brothers-in-law Thomas and James Haggard; sons Thomas and Jonathan (both under age); to son Edward "the land he now dwelleth on, in the County of Hunterdon" to son Richard "he land that he dwelleth on in the County of Hunterdon, in New Jersey" to son Ralph Hunt, "£1, to be paid out of the bond due to me from my brother, Ralph Hunt, with what he hath already received" dau. Edward Hunt was one of the early settlers of Maidenhead, New Jersey, along with his brothers "Capt. Ralph" and Samuel Hunt, and his cousins Theophilus Phillips and "Major" Phillip Phillips. (Maidenhead was originally part of Burlington, New Jersey; in 1714, it became part of the new county of Hunterdon. Maidenhead's name was changed to Lawrence in 1818 and it became part of Mercer Co. in 1838.)
