Rockford Morning Star. Friday, 13 March 1953 Edward Morse Dies, Aged 75, In Pecatonica Edward Morse, 75, R.R. 2. Pecatonica. died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday in his home. Mr. Morse was born in Rockford township, Winnebago county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Morse, and had been engaged in farming in this area most of his life, He married the former Anna McManus Dec. 4, 1904, in Beloit, Wis. She died in June, 1945. On March 8, 1947, he married for former Mrs. Jessie Miller in Dubuque, Ia. He was a member of Burritt grange. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Ralph Morse, Pecatonica, and Raymond Morse, Rockford; and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Ernest Cummings, pastor of Winnebago Street and Burritt Methodist churches, will officiate. Burial will be in Willwood Burial park.
