Edward Moschkau, 77, Chippewa Falls, Wis., formerly of Turtle Lake, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation, Chippewa Falls. He was born Aug. 5, 1922, at Almena, the son of Emil and Minnie (Ernst) Moschkau. He served with the U.S. Navy in W.W.II. He operated a farm in Hillsdale before working many years as a building contractor in South Dakota, Cannon Falls, Minn., and Appleton. Surviving are sons, Gary (Patricia), Douglas (Roxeann), and Glenn (Peggy), all of Eau Claire, Charles (Patricia) of Bloomer, and Duane (Pamela) of Andover, Minn.; daughters, Janet Moschkau of Isanti, Minn., and Joanne Moschkau of East Bethel, Minn.; 29 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; brothers, Arthur (Esther) of Turtle Lake and Carl of Mt. Horeb; sisters, Bertha Anders of Amery, Augusta Whitny of Standwood, Wash., Emma (Mike) Groom of Peoria, Ariz., and Rose (Harold) Strasser of Turtle Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa; sons, James and Richard; a sister; and three brothers. Services were held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, from Skinner Funeral Home, Turtle Lake, Rev. Mike Carlson officiating. Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery, Turtle Lake.
