About Edward Priddle, SV/PROG
PRIDDLE ORIGINS
It is thought that the PRIDDLE surname may be one of the Welsh "patronymics," or names created from the father's name. In this case the name was derived from the Welsh "ap Ridel," or "son of Ridel," an ancient Welsh name from the parish of Lillieslead, County Roxburgh.

subject Edward Priddle
Hi
Ian Hall forwarded your e mail to me and I have studied it.
The Edward Priddle you mention has not as far as I know any connection to my line of London Priddles. However there were some other Priddle families around in the early 1800's and your one could be descended from them. Any connection to my line would have to be in the 1700's which is quite a challenge when there were so many people living in London.
Sorry I cannot help you more.
Regards
Janet
