Edward Prince with Gilbert Hay and Thomas Temple witnessed the will of James Jones on 6th day of April, 1719. On December 16, 1723 Adam ivie of Isle of Wright deeded land to him in Prince George County. He made a disposition on June 9, 1719 in Prince George Court relative to the will of James Jones and from this we know when he was born. "I, Edward Prince, age 39 or thereabouts, disposes I was a witness to the will of James Jones mentioned in the within deposition of Gilbert Hay and that he wrote the will."
There was apparently some relationship between Gilbert Hay and Edward Prince.
Edward Prince Sr deed 196 acres of land on the North side of Flowman's swamp to Edward Prince Jr on the 8th day of January 1755.
The neighbors of Edward Prince were Francis Alderidge, Thomas Pate, Henry Tyler, and William Hix.
Edward Prince Jr on the 4th day of November, 1761 together with his brother, Joseph, deeded the 196 acres of land and the deed was witnessesd by William and John Prince.

Prince, 1788-1869 and his wife Mary (Grice) Prince, 1791-1878, natives of
Union County, S.C, later of Pickens County. Included are those persons that
the compiler knows about or has gathered from obituaries, weddings and other
reports in newspapers.
Basic information comes from a book on the same subject compiled in
1951 by Elsie (Entrekin) Prince and Mary (Hammond) Prince. This has been
added to by subsequent information.
Information about the families of Talulah (Taylor) Smith and of William
Samuel Taylor has been sent by Maud Mae (Simpson) Smith of Sadler, Texas.
Such information as we have about the ancestry of William Prince has
been included here. Many collateral families however living in Virginia and South Carolina have been omitted
