Efanda, Grand Duchess of Novgorod

Efanda (Alfvind) - according Yoakimovski Chronicle she was a Norwegian (Urmanian) princess, the wife of Novgorod prince Rurik. Her name, with reference to this chronicle, is mentioned by Historian V. N. Tatischev. Nothing more is known about her, except that Tatischev believed her being a sister of Oleg (Oleg of Novgorod).

EFANDA or EDVINDA Grand Duchess  
The name Efanda or Edvinda in Yoakimovski Chronicle is referred to the wife of Rurik, the first Russian sovereign. The story says that a princess of Urmania or Norway, who died in the year that is not known, but earlier than her husband and shortly after the birth of a son (Igor). Besides that (from her or other wife) Rurik had had a daughter, whose name is unknown; the sons of that daughter Akun and Uleb really existed.  
In the same Yoakimovski Chronicle it is narrated that Oleg, the autocratic ruler of the state after Rurik, was the brother Efanda or Edvinda.

Ефа́нда (Эфа́нда, Алфви́нд) — согласно Иоакимовской летописи, норвежская королевна, жена новгородского князя Рюрика, имя которой, со ссылкой на данную летопись, упоминает В. Н. Татищев. Больше о ней почти ничего не известно, кроме того Татищев считал её сестрой Олега.

Одна из жён Рюрика быля Ефанда, дочь «урманского» (норвежского) князя, которая родила Ингоря (Игоря Рюриковича). Брат Ефанды, «урманский» князь Олег стал княжить после смерти Рюрика.
