Eileen C Carpenter, (78) of Priest River, Idaho passed away Thursday May 21, 2009 in Newport.
Eileen was born Eileen C. Feist on March 17, 1931 in Zeeland, North Dakota, the daughter of Peter and Anna Feist.
Eileen moved to Hamilton, Montana as a child where she grew up and met Calvin Carpenter. The couple married in 1948 where they lived and raised their family until 1965. The family moved to Priest River, Idaho where Calvin worked for the Forest Service Experimental Station. They lived there for 18 years. Eileen worked as a waitress for several local restaurants.
She enjoyed sewing long stitch pictures, being outdoors and taking long walks. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Eileen is survived by her husband Calvin at their home in Priest River, three children and spouses, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.
