About Eileen Heath

From online obituary at <http://obits.mlive.com/obituaries/grandrapids/obituary.aspx?pid=154...>:

Mrs. Jeanetta Eileen Heath, aged 77, of Grand Rapids formerly of Coopersville a child of God, entered peacefully into God's eternal life on October 23, 2011. Born November 18, 1933, she was preceded in death by her parents, William and Leona Helmer; an infant son, David Wayne; sister, Evelyn Schoner May; brothers, Eugene and Jerry Helmer; son-in-law, Fred Gibbons; and one granddaughter, Kristi Lynn VanderMeulen. Eileen has eagerly awaited being welcomed into Heaven by her Savior Jesus Christ and being reunited with her loved ones there. On May 13, 1952, Eileen married her beloved, forever friend, Dean Heath, who survives her. During 59 years, they raised five children, Rev. Marcia Reiff (Terry) of Webster, New York, Brenda VanderMeulen (Jack) of Holland, Mark Heath (Debbie) of Howard City, Linda Knight of Grand Rapids, and Carol Hiscock (Shel) of Winona, Minnesota. She is also survived by her sisters, Thelma (Ken) Boroff and Linda (Louis) Randall; sisters-in-law, Ollie (Leon) Ruthruff, and Joanne Helmer; and brother-in-law, Duane (Edith) Heath. Other survivors include grandchildren and great grandchildren, Trevor (Lisa) Peck and their children, Danielle, Jadzia, Kesia, Austin, Aubrey, and Freddy; Katy (Chip) Wibert and their children, Sean and Sophia; Aaron (Casey) VanderMeulen and his son, Cole; Ryan (Becky) VanderMeulen; Keeley Heath and Phil Luben and their son, Jack; Drew Heath; Nathaniel Knight, Brian (Michelle) Knight, Stephen Knight, and Timothy Knight; Eric (Carolyn) Simons and his son, Landon, Brett (Ashley) Simons, Jessica Simons and her fiance, Matt Yost, and their son Peyton, and Sarah Simons; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Eileen enjoyed traveling, golf, basketball, music and reading. She especially liked to crochet, sew, bake, and garden. She was in her glory making cinnamon rolls, apple pies, and coconut ice cream dessert, "belly button" cookies for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for her swiss steak, her signature meal, which everyone loved to come home for. Her favorite place was beside the still waters of Cowden Lake where she spent her summers. The sun rising in the morning looking like diamonds dancing over the cool clear water and the beautiful sunsets in the evening were an inspiration and restoration of her soul. Always passionate about helping others, she was instrumental in the organization of a Coopersville Cares clothing closet, food pantry, and housing for those in need. Although Eileen served on many boards, her heart, life and soul were always happiest at Church of the Saviour, RCA, where she was a charter member and where she served as Elder. Eileen prays her legacy of love for Jesus, her family, and her compassion for the needy will live on in the lives of her family and others who have known and loved her. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at Church of The Saviour, 180 N. 68th Ave., Coopersville. Rev. David Kingma and Rev. Larry Doorn officiating. Burial in Coopersville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St., Coopersville. Memorial donations may be made Coopersville Cares, 180 N. 68th Ave., Coopersville, MI 49404.
