See Darrell Wolcott -- http://www.ancientwalesstudies.org/id138.html -- "Einion ap Celynin" -- for clarification of these lines. (April 26, 2016; Anne Brannen, curator)

See Also Peter Bartrum, https://cadair.aber.ac.uk/dspace/bitstream/handle/2160/4916/aleth%2... (November 27; Anne Brannen, curator)

Bartrum's notes make clear that Gwenllian, who shows up twice in the genealogy, is married to Celynin's son Einion, not his father; Einion's mother is Alswn verch Cynfelyn.

[Wolcott clarifies by showing that both this Einion and his father Celynin were married to ladies named Gwenllian ferch Adda ferch Meurig, one born c. 1275, the other c. 1310, as second cousins. (Steven Ferry, October 21, 2020.)]

From http://www.ralphvaughan.com/F7/articles.php?article_id=328 :

Einion ap Celynin married Gwellian, daughter of Adda ap Meyric, Rector of Meivod in 1265. Meyric was a direct descendant of Brochwel Ysgithrog, Prince of Powys. This is the earliest armorial insignia of the Vaughans of Llwydiarth. Celynin, father of Einion, killed the mayor of Carmarthen and fled to Montgomeryshire (Powys - Montgomeryshire wouldn't exist for a couple more centuries). His wife, Gwladus, was from this region where her family had enough power to protect him.
