Eirik og Astrid gifte seg i 1834. Eirik kjøpte søre Løken etter delinga i 1835.
Då både Eirik og Astrid gjekk bort same året, vart Løken seld på auksjon 1843 til broren Knut. Ein kjenner ikkje til korleis slekta tok seg av dei foreldrelause ungane. Men dei kom nok tidleg i arbeid. Sonen Elling vart såleis konfirmert i Norderhov.
Erick (Eric, Eirik) was born in Aal, Norway to parents: Elling Olson Loken and Guri Eiriksdtr. (Trintrud) Loken. Eric married Astrid Olsdtr. Gjeldokk on: 11 April 1834 in Aal, Norway.
Five children were born to this couple: Guri-1835, Elling-1837, Ole-1839, Elling-1841 and Astrid-1843. Eric died months before his last child, Astrid, was born. The mother, Astrid, also died on 20 Dec. 1843, days after the last child was born.
Due to the deaths of the parents, the children were raised by other families. Only two, the girls: Guri and Astrid were able to be traced, and both died in Minnesota.
Erick was listed as 30 years old at the time of death, and buried in Aal, Norway on 12 Nov. 1843.
