This John apparently should not be confused with John Hall.

brief biography and family

John Hall born circa November 7, 1686, died circa November 20, 1763, both in Abingdon Parish, Glouchester County, Royal Colony of Virginia. John Hall was married twice. His second wife, was Sarah (she died March 1790 in Patrick [then Henry] County, Virginia.) This John Hall was the fourth child of eight children born to John and Elizabeth Hall. He married Sarah in 1737 in Abingdon Parish, Glouchester County, VA and had six children. His grandfather, Thomas Hall moved to Virginia from Pennsylvania after coming to the colonies from England in 1654. His grandmother was Margaret (or Margery) Clackson (or Claxson), daughter of John Claxson.
