Biography
Eleanor is of Scotch ancestry, small in stature, with dark hair and eyes.
She married Nicholas Dawson, and they had three children. She then married Samuel Clark, and they had four children.
Eleanor died near New Salisbury on the north fork of Yellow Creek and was buried in the cemetery in the heart of Wellsville. That cemetery has since moved to Spring Hill Cemetery, overlooking that city and the Ohio River.
Research Notes
Haven’t yet found any primary sources. The book by William Lincoln Hart says her first husband was Dawson. Other family tree info (from import) says a spouse is Lyttleton. Since no primary sources have been found, I have not initiated a change of her maiden name from Lyttleton to Violet. (Elise Falk, 30 Jan 2019)
