About Eleanor Lewknor
She was over 18 at the death of her brother in 1426, when she became co-heir of the barony of Camoys. In March 1428 Ralph Radmylde and Thomas Lewknor brought suit against their wives' uncle Sir Roger Camoys to recover the estates of their father- in-law. In 1433 they succeeded in regaining the manor of Trotton, Sussex, where they lived. When the Barony of Camoys was called out of abeyance in 1839 her one-half claim was represented by her descendants Sophia de la Cainea (one-quarter), and the sisters Harriet Anne, Baroness Zouche (1/8) and Mrs. Pechell (1/8).
