It seems clear that Joan Strange, wife of John Carles, and Eleanor Strange, wife of Edward Acton, were not daughters of Fulk, 3d Lord Strange, but of his uncle, Fulk Le Strange of Longnor and Strange Betton, Shropshire, whose wife is unknown.
