About Fulke le Strange, 3rd Baron of Blackmere

On Fulke's death as above the Barony of Strange (of Blackmere) according to modern doctrine, fell into abeyance between his 2 infant daughters, (1) Joan, who married John Careless or Carless, (2) Eleanor, who married Edward De Acton; although a Hampshire jury found that Fulke died without heir of his body and that his brother John was his heir. Undoubtedly John did succeed to his barony in the territorial sense; but according to modern doctrine he did not succeed to the alleged Parliamentary Barony and the writ by which he was subsequently summoned created a new Barony.

Leo v.d. Pas says that Fulke’s father was somebody else, however CP Vol XII/1, p. 344 says what is shown is correct: Father John, 2nd Lord Strange d. 21 July 1349. He (Fulk) was contracted, at about age 16, on 12 Mar 1346/47 to Elizabeth de Stafford, and d.s.p.m. 30 Aug 1349.

1. His brother John was summoned to parliament from 3 April 1360 as 'Johanni Lestraunge', and is held to have become Lord Strange [although CP observes this technically was the creation of a new Barony, for the reason noted below].

2. Fulk was survived by two daughters: as CP observes, at his death [p. 344]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hamon Le Strange, 1916; Pedigree No VIII - LE STRANGE OF BLACKMERE
For some odd reason Hamon omits to show on the Pedigree chart the descent of this Fulk and his siblings; indeed he shows John Le Strange, 2nd Lord Strange of Blackmere, as o.b.s.p. July 20, 1349. Hamon goes on to discuss his progeny on pages 316 and 317. No children are shown on the chart or mentioned in text for Fulk, 3rd Lord
However, the ladies, Joan (m John Careless - a quibus Corbett of Longmor) and Eleanore (m Edward de Acton of Longmor) are shown as having a third sister Margaret - a nun. They are shown as being of Fulk Le Strange who had Longmor, brother of John, 2nd Lord.
Clearly there are two errors on the Pedigree Chart if the text is correct; but is there a third error in both related to the descent of Joan, Eleanor and Margaret if the other references quoted here are correct.
