DEATH COMES TO ELDERLY PIONEER
Mrs. Electa Luplow died Thursday afternoon at one o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eva Durga, 206 North Spruce street. Mrs. Luplow has spent most of her life in and around Traverse City, but for the past 22 years had made her homer in Benzonia.
Mrs. Luplow, formerly Miss Electa Fuller, was born in the town of Brazier Falls, St. Lawrence Co., New York. She came to Traverse City in the year 1861, later with her parents moving to Elmira. In 1868 she was united in marriage to Frederick Luplow. Eleven children were born to this union, eight of whom, Mrs. Will Moore of Greenville, Joe Luplow, Mrs. Sarah Coleman, Mrs. Eva Durga of this city, Louis Luplow of Benzonia, Mrs. Charles Hall of Detroit, Mrs. Roy Waite of Benzonia, and Mrs. Piercy of Texas are left to mourn their loss besides a number of grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30, from the home of Mrs. Durge, 206 North Spruce street, Rev. Mr. Dunn officiating. Burial will be made in Oakwood cemetery.
