Note: There is much conflict information and data concerning Eleanor Boswell Mitchell Ross. She was first married to a Mitchell, second to John Ross Sr. (Revolutionary War Veteran). However, she is being listed twice with two separate John Ross marriage listings. Each listing shows different named children being born at roughly the same birth years and time frames.
For those who don't know- there were other marriage documents by the name John Ross, Eleanor Mitchell and Eleanor Boswell coming from the same place or nearby location before Eleanor Boswell Mitchell Ross died.
After Eleanor died, and again, no one knows when she did, John Ross remarried to a Nancy he took all or most of his children to Adair County, Kentucky. Because nothing yet exists of when Eleanor died, neither is anyone sure of exactly which of his children, were born by which mother. Which is why all of his children that were born in Adair County, Kentucky are being listed under Eleanor Boswell and not Nancy Ellis.
