He married Mary Johnson on 2/21/1839 in Wood County WV.

They had four children:

Harriet was born in 1840 and married Harvey Bailey and raised 10 children in Newark, Wirt County WV.

Charles Clinton Hall was born in 1842 and eventually ended up in Texas.

Henry Hall was born in 1844 and fought in the Civil War.

Bushrod was born in 1848 and died in 1855.

Mary died 10/20/1849, leaving him four children to raise.

On 11/16/1850 he married Elizabeth Staats who had sons Theodore and Isaac from her first marriage.

They had three children:

Mary Virginia born 12/14/1851 and died 10/12/1853

Alpheus Hall born 12/26/1853 and died 9/3/1855, two days after his father.

America Mary Hall born 1/6/1856 (four months after her father's death). She married George Boso and had at least nine children.
