Eli R. Hershberger

Benton - Eli R. Hershberger, 66, of 6860 County Road 630, Benton, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2020, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, following a 2 year battle with cancer.

He was born on September 2, 1954 to the late Roman E. and Anna (Beachy) Hershberger and provided transportation for the Amish community the last 25 years.

He is survived by sisters, Sarah of Benton, Amanda of Fredericksburg, and Anna of Sarasota, Florida; brothers, Roman Jr. (Rhea) of Greenville, Tennessee, Paul (Miriam) of Sarasota, Florida, Jake of Fredericksburg, Abraham (Tabitha) of Violet Hill, Arkansas, Gabriel (Rachel) of Oskabosa, Kansas and Isaac (Malora) of Kidron; and 27 nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother Elmer.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at Peniel Beachy Church with Nathan Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5-8:00 pm at the church. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
