FREDERICKSBURG - Eli M. Keim, 97, of 10778 S. Apple Creek Rd., Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at his residence.
He was born March 22, 1921 in Holmes County to the late Mose and Clara (Miller) Keim and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He married Lizzie J. Weaver on Dec. 27, 1945 and she preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 2011.
He is survived by 2 sons and 3 daughters; Andy (Anna) Keim of the home in Fredericksburg, Mary Miller of Danville, Esther (Norman) Yoder of Patriot, Atlee (Esther) Keim of Orrville and Anna (Reuben) Weaver of Danville; 47 grandchildren and 95 great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna (John) Weaver of Wilmot, 2 brothers, Mose Keim of Fredericksburg and Andy (Mary Ann) Keim of Bellville and 2 sisters-in-law, Ella Keim of Fredericksburg and Amanda Keim of Spartensburg, PA.
In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Miller; 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and seven brothers, Joe, Jonas, Ezra, Abe, Levi, Jacob and Dan.
Services will be Thursday, Aug. 23rd at 9:30 a.m. at the Keim Residence with Bishop Mose Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Salt Creek Twp., Wayne County. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff of LifeCare Hospice for their compassionate and loving care given to their father.
