Elias Stein was married twice:

His first marriage was to Elisabet Hauser of Radonice and took place August 10, 1836 HBMa Fond 241 inv. č 431 Milavče O 1836 Folio 2 Elias and Elisabet both grew up in Radonice, and in fact she was born only three days after he was born.

Elias Stein and Elisabet Hauser Stein had 6 children: Sigmund (Simon), Joachim Heinrich, Franziska (Bette), Esther (Theresa, Henrietta or Yetta), Herman, and Abraham (Albert). All but Herman lived to adulthood.

After Elisabet Hauser Stein died, Elias married Elisabeth Schwarz of Libkov. There is no record of the marriage in Radonice so it presumably took place in the bride's home town. Elisabeth Schwarz was the daughter of Josef Schwarz, a trader and Barbara Schwarz (née Wilhelm) from Prague. Elias and Elisabeth had one daughter, Anna, who was born June 11, 1852 in Radonice House 8 HBMa Fond 241 inv č 431 Milavče N Folio 21, second entry (Anna's birth record provided the information about her mother's parents.)
