Stephen Mack settled in Winnebago County, IL in 1829 (first white settler)he married Hononegah and had eight children. Stephen Mack's home is now a museum complete with a family bible. My question for this message board is: My half-cousin is in possession of another Mack family bible. The feeling is that the Mack's and Westbrook's are related. I have not found proof of that yet. (just started looking). The bible he has is from Elijah B. Mack b. 1/8/1773 wife m. 4/1/1798 Elizabeth (Rice) Mack b. 4/23/1776. Other names/dates listed: Pasiah Mack b. 12/5/1799 Betsey Mack b. 9/14/1800 Elijah B. Mack, Jr b. 10/5/1802 Jamima Mack b. 10/18/1804 Mary Mack b. 9/30/1806 Nehimah Mack b. 1/12/1812 Edward Mack b. 1/14/1814 Elija Mack b. 9/30/1816 Sarah Mack b. 10/14/1818 Amanda Mack b. 8/25/1820 Edward M. Mack d. 12/22/1861 MARRIAGES Nehemah Mack was married to Miss Diadamid Hewett on 1/1/1841.
Bible dated 1827 printed in Cooperstown, NY The bible has been in the Westbrook family for at least 5 generations. I know of at least 7 generations of Westbrooks.
I hope this helps someone and they can help me make a connection to Stephen Mack and Elijah B. Mack. Also to the Westbrook family.
