WARNING: Elijah's parentage shown here has been brought into question. Can anyone positively identify his parents with documentation?

Roxana Salem writes in her Post Em note:

"This Elijah Wright married Miriam Royce on 19 Oct 1788, had three children in Hanover, NH, six more in Berlin, VT and died there 19 Jun 1834, ae. 69y 6m. He is not an ancestor of John Dewey."

Roxana Salem provides no sources whatsoever to document her claims, nor can Elijah Wright and Miriam Royce be found on Rootsweb at this time. If anyone can confirm or deny the information shown here, please contact us.

Fayth Evjen responds to Ms. Salem above:

"I have a copy of birth records of the children of Elijah and Hannah Wright. From Shoreham, Addison, Vermont The birth aere recorded in 1803. So I think that it might be safe to say that Elijah and Hannah Douglass were married to each other." --Fayth Evjen

RESEARCHER'S NOTE: We may be dealing with two different Elijah Wrights here, but which Elijah was the son of John and Mehitable Stowell?
