Elinor Brewster

Elinor was born about 1720 in either Ireland or Scotland and she died in 1811 in Jessaminie County, Kentucky. About 1751, Elinor (Nelly) married James Brewster in Augusta County, Virginia. James Brewster was born in 1720 near Coleraine, Parish of Dumbos, County Derry, Ireland; died on 15 August 1807 in Jessaminie County, Kentucky. In 1758, James' military service was with the Virginia Militia (the Virginia Continental Line).

Elinor (Nelly) and James had eight children:

1) Elinor (Ellenor) D. Brewster born on 25 Jan 1754 at Fort Defiance, Augusta County, Virginia; died on 3 Nov 1841 at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. She married Sam Fowler Dunn, Sr. This is our ancestor.

2) Jennet Brewster born on 11 April 1761; died on 17 July 1839 at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. Jennet Brewster married Samuel Irvin.

3) Agnes (Nancy) Brewster born on 25 April 1763 in Augusta County, Virginia; died on 25 August 1830 at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. She married William James Alexander.
