Disputed Origins
According to Charles Henry Pope, Elinor is the name of the woman who married John Davis.[1]
Torrey agrees with this, in his record that John Davis married Eleanor by 1642 in Newbury, Massachusetts.[2]
David Webster Hoyt, reported that John Davis, an early settler of Newbury, Massachusetts, married Elnor.[3]
In this source, it says that John Davis that married Eleanor was the one who fathered John Davis of Newbury, b 1644-5.[4]
However, according to Savage, the wife of John Davis was Mary. [5]
No sources have yet been found showing her birth information, or LNAB. As a result, she has been disconnected from the "father" listed for her, Unknown Milford.
