Elinor Jean Samons married Wade Columbus Euliss, son of Jesse Columbus Euliss and Lolita Foster, on 14 July 1961 at Alamance County, North Carolina. Her obituary on 21 April 1995: Mrs. Elinor "Nonie" Samons Euliss, 70, of 4205 Clapp Mill Road died Wednesday, April 19, 1995 at Alamance County Hospital. Born in Floyd County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Raymond Samons and the late Hazel Click Samons. She was a lifetime trustee for the Alamance County Historical Museum, and she formerly served on the board of directors and was a member of the Alamance County Geneological Society, was editor of the historical book "Alamance County - The Legacy of Its People and Places". Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with Mr. Dougal R. Thomas officiating and burial to be in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Wade C. Euliss of the home; daughters, Mrs. Nancy R. James of Burlington and Ms. Jane Rice of Alamance; son, Mr. Charles R. Rice of Stoneville; sister, Mrs. Roma S. Tuttle of Eastern, Ky; brother, Arliss W. Samons of Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight at Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington and other times at the residence. She was buried at Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery, Kimesville, Alamance County, North Carolina.
