was born in Litchtifeld CT, 4 Sept 1791, died in South Ottawa, La Salle Co, Ill - 9 Sept 1846.
married 6 Nov 1814 in Susquehannah City, Pa to Bethiah Thatcher. She was born in Attleborough, MA, - 20 Sept 1793 and died in South Ottawa, La Salle Co, Ill - 8 July 1844, the daughter of Capt John Thatcher (Revolutionary War Soldier)

Eliphalet Ellsworth was drafted but, was never called into service during the War of 1812. Lived in Harford, PA - removed in 1837 to South Ottawa, La Salle Co, Illinois, and in the following spring sent for his family. Settled on Section 31. Both are buried in Vermillionville Cemetery ( Now Deer Park), La SAlle Co, Illinois.
