Elisabeth Melanson was born in 1679 to Pierre Melanson (1632 - 1720) and Marie Marguerite Anne Mius d'Entremont (1650 - 1714) at Port-Royal,Acadia.

- Joseph (1699-) married Marie-Josephe Landry* Louis-Amand (1701-) married (a) Catherine Granger and (b) Claire Doucet

Elisabeth's second marriage was to Rene Leblanc (1682 - 1758) on July 30, 1709, in Grand-Pré, Acadie. They are the parents of the following:

Note: There was a "Marie-Josephe child in both marriages.
Elisabeth died on December 12, 1718 at Grand Pré, Acadia, and is buried there at Saint-Charles-des-Mines.
