About Elisabetha Funk
Elisabeth Funk born 1800 Bayern, Germany, child of a schoolteacher, was in 1808 sold for 100 daler to circusowner Wulff Levi called Levy/Louis Goldkette, he should give Elisabeth back to her mother after 12 years, but it never happend. He spanked the little girl to walk on a line. The fosterfamily called the little girl for Nannette Goldkette and raised her up with their other 3 children: Hertz (Hartwig), Hermann and Caroline. Her fosterfather Wulff Levi called Levy/Louis Goldkette pragned the young Elisabeth and they got a boy Wolffschram Levi 1816 in Næstved, Denmark. 1817 they put him to a fosterfamily Sørensen in Fåborg, Denmark
Elisabeth travelled as a line dancer with the family for many years but at last it succed for her to unscape with help from queen Augusta of Perussen help (maybe a helpfond).
She get married to Christian Gerswig, and they got a daughter Caroline Friedrike Dorothee Gerwig born 21 juni 1826 Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany
In 1840 Hartwig and Hermann performances in Denmark and they told their half brother Wolffschram Levi batism to: Frederik Christian Sørensen that his mother Elisabeth Gerswig born Funk live in Berlin. Hereafter mother and son corresponded and 1866 the son Frederik visited his mother Elisabet and her husbond in Berlin, Germany
