Elisha served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War from New Hampshire. Record is dated 9 Nov 1779. He signed the Association Test Paper for the "Test Act" of 12 Apr 1776. (See History of Gilmanton)
Elisha Weed III was born in 1754 in Salisbury, Massachusetts to parents Elisha Weed and Hannah Hacket. He moved to Gilmantown, New Hampshire in Mar 1772 at age 18 with his brother Orlando. He married first Mary Hessian in 1774 in Gilmantown, New Hampshire. Children: Joshua, Nathaniel, William. After Mary died in 1802 he married second Abigail Frieze on 1 Sep 1803 in New Hampshire. He died on 11 Oct 1807 in New Hampshire.
