About Eliza Myrtle Anderson

Mrs. Eliza Myrtle Hunsaker Anderson, 72, of Bear River City, died Friday, Oct, 18, i985, of heart failure following surgery at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.

She was born Jan. 17, 1913, in Honeyville, a daughter of Hartman Abraham and Eliza Ella Von Madsen Hunsaker.

She married Burton Deron Anderson on Jan. 17, 1929, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died May 6, 1978.

She lived in Honeyville for 17 years and in Bear River City for the past 55 years.

She was reared and educated in Box Elder County Schools.

She was a member of the Bear River 2nd LDS Ward and was a member of Relief Society and was a Relief Society visiting teacher. She served in the past as YWMIA and Primary president, as a member of the Relief Society presidency, the YWMIA Stake Board, Junior Sunday School coordinator and ward choir member for many years.

She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She had served as captain, vice captain and secretary.

She had served as a food, sewing and craft judge at several county fairs in Northern Utah.

She was a member of a bowling league in Tremonton. She was an avid quilter and was a member of the Utah Quilt Guild. She also belonged to the Farm Brueau Auxiliary.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ralph H. (Dorene) Bateman, Roy; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Glendale Hunsaker, Ogden; and E.A. Hunsaker, Tujunga, Calif.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Bear River LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Robert O. Nelson officiating.

Interment, Bear River City Cemetery.
