Photo by Paula Walkingstick Parents are listed on Ancestry as Martin Raper and Mary Polly McDaniels.
NOTE:
Ancestry may have been a bit mixed up about her parents. Martin RAPER was born 1818-1820, too young to have been her father. However the parents of Matin were Jesse RAPER and Mary Polly McDANIEL. She was not on the the 1850 census, but given the birthdate on her tombstone, she could very well have been married by then. I would say the more like scenario is that she was a daughter of Jesse and Polly and a sister to Martin.
