Headstone: Mr Thomas Tollis Late N.C.O in the Government Guard. Died 25th July 1821. Age 44 years. Also his wife Mrs Anne Tollis Died 13th April 1821 Age 32 years. Also her infant daughter Eliza died 24th April 1821 Age 9 weeks 4 days.
THE DEVONSHIRE-STREET CEMETERY. PROGRESS OF THE WORK OF EXHUMATION. "ln memory of Mr. Thomas Tollis, late a non-commissioned officer in the Governor's Guard, July 25, 1821." There must have been an epidemic in Mr Tollis's family, for his wife died on April 13, and an infant of his was buried on April 29, of the same year. (Eliza Tollis).
