Migrated from England to Holland and then to America.

Thomas Applegate was a member of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, as early as 1635, when he got a license to keep a ferry between Wessaguscas (Weymouth) and Mt. Wooliston (Braintree). A year later he was turned out. Between 1635-1640 his name is in many records. His wife Elizabeth seems to been one of the unfortunate women who suffered from ecclesiastical tyranny of that puritanical time, For she was censured to stand with her tongue in a cleft stick for swearing. Perhaps these experiences prompted them to move to more liberal settlements of Rhode Island.

From Rhode Island they went to New Amsterdam.

On Dec. 29, 1650, he sold half of his farm in Gravesend to Thomas Southard and his wife, Anna VanSalee. He apparently died either late in 1656 or early in 1657 as his wife was listed in the tax records in 1657.

Here is the abstract of the will of Mary Patrick Feake who is the mother of Elizabeth, the wife of Charles Morgan:

Mary Feke, widow, 20 Aug., 1691. To dau. Elizabeth Morgan ?3, a gold ring, etc. Livestock to granddaus., Mary & Aritus Morgan; two twenty acre lots in Flushing to grandsons Thomas, Charles & James Morgan; bequeaths to friends Samuel Dean' Hugh Cowperthwait, & Samuel Haight; residue to dau. Judith, and she exx. Overseers: John Rodman & John Burrows. Wits. Thomas Stevenson, William Laurence, & Benjamin Field.2,3
