Elizabeth "Bessie" Buerckner

Obituary published in the "Camperdown Chronicle" of Friday 22 October 1954:

"Obituary. MRS. E. BUERCKNER. THE death occurred at her home, "Sunnydale," Tun- gamah, North-Eastern Vic- toria, on Tuesday, October 12, of Mrs. E. Buerckner, a highly respected resident of the dis- trict. Her son, Mr. C. W. Buerckner, resides at Cam perdown. The late Mrs. Buerckner was born at "Sunnydale," a property which had been sel- ected by her grandparents, and had lived there for more than 70 years. She had been in ill-health, for some time and had been an inmate of the Yarrawonga Hospital for about two weeks, but had re- turned home on the Monday morning prior to her death. The late Mrs. Buerckner's husband predeceased her six years ago, but she is survived by the following family: Bella (Mrs. Beattie, Tungamah), Charles (Camperdown), Dul- cie (Mrs. W. Lewis, Wilby), Edward (Tungamah), Molly (Mrs. Whinray, Tungamah), Harold (Melbourne), Leo (Tungamah), Ruth (Mrs. Ro- bertson, Avenel), and Walter, (Tungamah). The funeral took place to the Tungamah cemetery on Thursday. October 14."
